"Rooted in Faith, United by History":
A Sacred Visual Journey Honoring 85 Years of St. William Catholic Church
When St. William Catholic Church in Round Rock, Texas, approached us to help commemorate its 85th Anniversary, we understood this was far more than a milestone—it was a sacred opportunity to honor the deep spiritual and cultural roots of one of Central Texas’s most significant Hispanic-founded Catholic communities.
This wasn’t a typical creative brief. This was a pilgrimage through memory—an invitation to join the Church, its families, and its clergy in reflecting on eight and a half decades of unwavering faith, resilience, and unity. As the DIPad's founder and Chief Creative Officer (CCO), I led this project personally, offering not just design direction but a heart-first commitment to preserve the stories that built this spiritual home.
The Vision: Telling a Living History
From the start, we knew this project needed to do more than celebrate the Church—it had to embody it. Our goal was to create an audiovisual journey that honored every chapter of St. William’s evolution, from its humble beginnings in a modest wooden chapel to becoming one of the largest and most vibrant Catholic parishes in Texas.
Together with a team of volunteers, clergy, and community historians, we began a deep archival exploration—collecting photographs, letters, sermons, and testimonies from parishioners, some of whom had been baptized, married, and buried within the Church’s embrace.
